Connected TV (CTV) device ownership is growing across the world as a growing share of the global TV audience watches TV shows and movies via streaming services on their TV sets. Many service providers, content players, apps developers and advertisers are interested in understanding how to assess the CTV device population over time and its impact on user choice and behaviour. Modelling Connected TV households is complex as it involves an understanding of levels of multiple ownership across device types (Smart TV, Streaming Media Players and Game Consoles) as well as across different platforms. This report aims to model the number of households owning at least one connected TV device by factoring in assumptions around multiple ownership levels.

The report provides connected TV household forecasts from 2010 to 2030 and also examines household ownership levels across the major streaming platforms including Tizen, WebOS, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, SmartCast, Chromecast, Vidaa and more. Countries covered in this report include Canada, USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK.
