Altman Solon Names New Managing Partners – including CTAM Europe Board Member, Matthias Hamel.

Altman Solon, the largest global strategy consulting firm exclusively focused on Telecommunications, Media, and Technology (TMT), today announced its new group of Managing Partners: Rory J. Altman, Matthias Hamel, Dan Lerner, and Justin Jameson.

Matthias Hamel, based in Munich, joined the firm in 2005 and supports telecommunications providers and leading investors worldwide. London-based Dan Lerner, who joined the firm in 2011, is an expert in technology and telecommunications investment strategy. Justin Jameson is based in Sydney and was the founder of Venture Consulting, which was acquired by Altman Solon in 2021. Rory J. Altman continues his previous role as Managing Partner. He is based in Boston and founded Altman Vilandrie & Company, which merged with Solon Consulting to create Altman Solon in 2020. In parallel with their Managing Partner duties, all four will continue to serve their clients globally.

Coming off the rotation is Patrick Bellenbaum, who has served as Managing Partner in Europe since 2020. Patrick will continue his focus on growth initiatives and senior hires for Altman Solon.

“Our new Managing Partner team reflects the global scope and mission of our firm,” said Rory J. Altman. “We thank Patrick Bellenbaum for his outstanding dedication and leadership in creating Altman Solon and co-leading the firm since our merger, during which we built a truly global firm with unprecedented growth.”

“Altman Solon successfully emerged from three regional players to a worldwide leader. Our team is excellent, our momentum is strong, and our untapped potential is high. There is a lot to do, and Altman Solon is eager for growth,” said Matthias Hamel.

“TMT is fast, dynamic, and challenging – especially in our current economic climate. Our success is thanks to our team of experts in 13 offices across the world,” said Dan Lerner. “These are the best people to help our clients succeed in these markets.”

“Asia-Pacific is an important area of growth for TMT and, in particular, for our firm,” said Justin Jameson. “Being focused on our industries and present around the world allows us to bring the best people to our clients wherever they are.”
