FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEContact: CTAM Europe Makes Debut at the ECCA Congress in Barcelona First Pan-European cable marketing organization dedicated to meeting the needs of cable professionals launches organization BARCELONA, -- March 23, 2004 -- A new cable marketing organization aims to make a big splash at this year’s annual ECCA Congress. CTAM Europe (the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing) is making its introduction to the delegates at the ECCA Congress by hosting a Panel discussion on one of today’s most significant industry challenges. The panel, Cable vs. ADSL – Strategies for Success features experts from prominent cable broadband providers in Europe, including: cablecom, chello Broadband, UPC and Telenet. The Panel will take place on Wednesday morning, March 24 at the Intercontinental Hotel. CTAM Europe is a chapter-in-formation of an organization that began 28 years ago in the US with a vision to advance marketing excellence in the cable industry as well as to support the mastery of new technologies and strategic learning in cable, broadband and other emerging media. The CTAM Europe mission is to establish itself as a non-profit, non-commercial, professional membership organization that provides marketing education, information and networking opportunities to individuals who work for European cable companies, as well as programmers and broadband companies who seek to distribute products and services via cable’s broadband pipe throughout Europe. To address these challenges a group of European cable and broadband marketing executives came together with the idea to launch this chapter to serve the industry’s pan-european marketing community. Founding organizer, Jude Blake, Chief Marketing Officer of Cablecom, GmbH in Switzerland remarked: “The digital revolution of the last 10 years has brought enormous change to the industry across the world as well as increased competition. Now, more than ever before, marketers in the European cable community can benefit from the networking, the shared knowledge and resources that an organization like this can provide.” Some of the benefits being planned for members include: invitation and special rates to conferences and “webinars”, online and offline publications, business networking opportunities as well as access to an exclusive website featuring industry research, a job bank, member database and more. CTAM Europe's first Eurosummit is planned for the autumn of 2004. More details will follow.
