CTAM Europe EuroSummit '08
Europe's only annual cable marketing event in Berlin

June 18th, Switzerland — CTAM Europe (Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing) will host Europe's only annual cable marketing conference on September 25-26 in Berlin at the Radisson SAS Hotel. The announcement was made today by Krisztina Homolay, General Manager of CTAM Europe.

CTAM Europe is a non-profit membership organization, offering premier cable marketing events, best practices, networking, and educational opportunities to the European cable industry. CTAM Europe has hosted four EuroSummit events in the past, with participation by hundreds of industry leaders, representing organizations from more than 25 European countries.

"We are very excited about hosting our event in Berlin, which promises to be the best EuroSummit yet based on the distinguished speaker line-up we have assembled. The German cable market is one of the most significant markets in Europe and we are looking forward to welcoming many German cable industry representatives at the summit. In addition to our traditional Content, Branding, CEO, and CMO Forums, we will also focus on topics that energize growth including: addressing the Competition, Multi-Platform Strategies, Churn Reduction, and Customer Care initiatives," commented Chad Raube, Chairman of CTAM Europe.

EuroSummit'08 is a highly interactive and intensive two-day cable-industry conference that focuses on cable marketing initiatives. Attendees are able to meet and learn from the industry's top executives. Keynote speakers will include Benjamin Pyne, President of Global Distribution at Disney- ABC Worldwide Television and Disney Media Networks, who will share his thoughts on global cross-platform distribution strategy across North America and Europe. "I am looking forward to delivering a keynote speech at the EuroSummit '08. I believe that mastering a multi-platform approach is one of the hot issues that European cable operators are currently facing, so this topic will be very relevant to the audience," said Pyne.

Day one sessions will include a keynote address and How to win the video war in the changing landscape: High end video products and strategies; Branding Strategy from A-Z: How Cable Can Develop A Winning Position; The Age of The Trialogue: Talking with Web 2.0-empowered consumers about your brand's meaning and impact; Customer segmentation panel, Multi-screen presence for operators—Cable, IPTV, Internet, & mobile; Churn reduction techniques, and a CMO Forum.

Day one will end with the Creative Award Ceremony, where winners of the creative award program (CAP) will be announced. The competition was launched by CTAM Europe last year in order to recognize the creative achievements & marketing excellence in the cable industry, among cable operators & programmers.

Day 2 of EuroSummit starts with a Customer Care Networking Breakfast for all conference attendees—a great opportunity to learn about CTAM Europe's Customer Care Consortium and its initiatives and network in an informal setting. During the day, the summit will bring back one of the most popular session of the conference, the CEO Forum, where CEOs from leading industry organizations, such as Parm Sandhu (Unitymedia), Duco Sickinghe (Telenet), and others will share their views on the future of the cable business.: "While our industry is becoming increasingly competitive, the German cable market - which is the second largest world-wide - is currently experiencing a cable-renaissance. In this environment of growth, Unitymedia is one of the most successful triple play providers. We are happy to share our experiences at EuroSummit '08 and to discuss strategies with participants from leading European cable-companies."- added Parm Sandhu, CEO of Unitymedia.

Featured sessions include "Insight from Other industries: How customer experience & branding can help to retain customers," where operators can learn from other industries. The "Social Networking & Internet Innovation: What comes after Web 2.0?" session will share experts' thoughts on Web 3.0 and the future. The Customer Lifecycle Management session will present business cases on the importance of Customer retention models.

CTAM Europe is confident of topping EuroSummit '07 held in Barcelona, both in attendance and with more than 300 contributing participants from all over Europe. In addition to the sessions, conference attendees will have plenty of opportunities for networking by attending the Cocktail Reception and informal Gala Party event on Day 1. This informal event will be hosted by chellomedia, and held at the Wasserwerk, which is among the most impressive new locations Berlin currently has to offer. The historic building of the Wilmersdorf waterworks has been thoroughly renovated and turned into one of the most spectacular venues in town. The outstanding bar/restaurant concept features a unique mixture of old industrial charm and modern design. Guests will experience a stylish venue with lounge and bar, amid an unusual atmosphere of fascinating water pumps, music, and entertainment all night long.
