FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEContact: CTAM Europe launches Europe's only Creative Award Competition Zürich, Switzerland – 29 June 2007 – CTAM Europe (Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing) is launching its first-ever Creative Award Competition among European cable operators, networks, and content providers, it was announced today by Krisztina Homolay, General Manager of CTAM Europe. The CTAME Creative Award Competition will be Europe's premier event to recognize excellence in cable marketing and promotion and the outstanding achievements of networks, content providers and cable companies. "We're thrilled to launch the CTAME Creative Award Competition, which provides the industry and our members with an outstanding value-added program. There's so much great creative work being done throughout the cable industry—and this is a rare opportunity to showcase these incredible accomplishments from all over Europe," commented Dennis Hodges, Chairman of CTAM Europe and VP of Marketing, Sales and Content Strategy, UPC central Europe. This unique competition is open to all CTAM Europe members. Cable operators, networks, and content providers will submit their most effective and creative marketing pieces in four entry categories: Brand Image & Positioning, Acquisition & Retention Marketing, Interactive Marketing (on-line, digital media, etc), and New Product/Service Launch Campaigns. "In times where advertising is all about permission marketing and the customer wants to be entertained and not pushed into a decision, it is specifically important for our industry that we pay attention to creative excellence. The CTAME Creative Award Competition is a great opportunity to put the spotlight on ideas with legs and break through potential, which will cut the clutter of our industry and award simplicity in our thinking towards the customer," remarked Michaela Adami-Schrott, Vice President Marketing Communications Europe, UPC Broadband. The excitement leads up to the CTAM Europe EuroSummit 07 in Barcelona (September 27-28 in Barcelona at the Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel) where Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be presented in four different categories. A team of experienced judges, representing the cable industry, advertising agencies, and creative & media professionals, will evaluate all submissions and select the finalists.
