CTAM Europe EuroSummit 07
Europe's only annual cable marketing event in Barcelona

Zürich, Switzerland – 11 June 2007 – CTAM Europe (Cable Telecommunications Association for Marketing) will host Europe's only annual cable marketing conference on September 27-28 in Barcelona at the Princesa Sofia Gran Hotel. The announcement was made today by Krisztina Homolay, General Manager of CTAM Europe.

CTAM Europe is a non-profit membership organization, offering premier industry events, best practices, networking, and educational opportunities to the European cable industry. CTAM Europe has hosted three EuroSummit events in the past, with participation by hundreds of industry leaders, representing organizations from more than 25 European countries.

"The 2007 EuroSummit will be different from previous summits, not only because of its Mediterranean location, but we are introducing many new and unique panel sessions, like the Chief Marketing Officer panel, a 'Teen Factor' live focus group, 'Ask the Expert' sessions, and much more to the summit," commented Dennis Hodges, Chairman of CTAM Europe.

EuroSummit 07 is a highly interactive and intensive two-day cable-industry conference that focuses on marketing, sales, and customer care. Attendees are able to meet and learn from and the industry's top executives. Keynote speakers will include Barry Rellaford from CoveyLink, the leading boutique consultancy company. Barry will share his thoughts about consumer trust in a changing marketplace. "I am thrilled to have been invited to deliver The Speed of Trust at the EuroSummit 07. TRUST is the one thing that changes EVERYTHING," said Rellaford, Master Facilitator, CoverLink.

Day 1 will kick off with one of the biggest European industry stories of the year—the ntl: Telewest changeover to Virgin Media that captured attention around the world. The first day will also include sessions on User Generated Content, which has come a long way from those Funniest Home Video shows. The session will include case studies highlighting how operators are using UGC strategies to aggregate content and engage consumers. Parallel sessions will include discussions on Video On Demand, Customer Care, and Customer Lifecycle Management. New to EuroSummit 07 is the Teen Factor session, a LIVE onstage focus group with today's media-savvy teens. They'll focus on their online media behavior and technology use and what they'd like to see from operators. The session is moderated by the noted new media and youth marketing specialist, DK, founder of mediasnackers.com: "MediaSnackers is thrilled to be involved with an event which gives young people the platform to participate - their presence will provide an authentic voice and credible insights into young peoples media habits."

Day 1 will end with a first-ever Chief Marketing Officers session, where top marketers will discuss their perspectives on cable marketing in the new economy Speakers will include Chief Marketing Officers from leading cable organizations and content providers, such as UPC, Virgin Media, Disney, and ONO.

Day 2 of the summit will start with a networking breakfast for all conference attendees—a great opportunity to meet the featured presenters and network in an informal setting. During the day, EuroSummit will bring back one of the most popular session of the conference, the CEO Forum, where CEOs from leading industry organizations, such as Stephen Burch (Virgin Media), Richard Alden (ONO), Nimrod Kovacs (UPC Central Europe), Duco Sickinghe(Telenet) and others will share their views on the cable business including: products, trends, technologies, and competition. "Our industry is becoming increasingly competitive and the companies that will win out are those that can combine great service with great marketing to attract and retain customers. The best way to accelerate this is by sharing our combined skills and taking advantage of the lessons already learned the hard way. The EuroSummit is another concrete way of being able to put this into action". said Richard Alden, CEO, ONO.

The day will feature a presentation on the European Cable Survey from Solon Management, many more case study sessions on branding, online sales strategies, customer care, bundling, and much more.
