Steve Stewart
Managing Director Customer Care - Virgin Media
Steve
was born in Chiswick, London and qualified as an Engineering Draughtsman. After a stint
with the Hawker Sidley Group, Steve changed course and entered the world of Sales &
Customer Management—developed his skills across the Financial, Utilities, Telecom and Internet sectors.
Steve joined Telewest in March, 2001, as Director, Customer Care—responsible
for Consumer Customer Care, which includes the National Service Centre, National Care
Centres, National Movers Centre, Customer Relations, and the National Customer Liaison
Centre. His sphere of influence includes approximately 2,300 agents and 1.8 million residential customers.
After the Telewest merger with NTL in March, 2006, the companies have
re-branded as Virgin Media. In his capacity as Managing Director, Customer Care,
Steve has responsibility for approximately 5,000 in-house and outsourced agents and
services 5 million customers.
