Chris Winkelmolen
Director of Marketing, Europe, for UPC Broadband
Chris
Winkelmolen is a Marketing and Sales professional with 15 years experience in Telecommunications,
Advertising, and Cable. Mr. Winkelmolen has a broad range of experience and success developing
and implementing acquisition, retention, and customer growth strategies and programs. He has
been responsible managing numerous marketing and operation functions,
including marketing strategy, Lifecycle Management, loyalty, bundling, competitive
intelligence, market research, and online marketing.
Chris is currently Director of Marketing, Europe, for UPC Broadband, responsible for the
development and enhancement of marketing programs including Winback marketing, Bundling,
Referral marketing, etc. to drive RGU/customer and OCF.
Since 1992, Chris has specialized in Sales and Marketing and General Management in
the telecommunications and broadband industry and has held a variety of cable marketing
positions, including:
Commercial Director for GelreVision, a small cable operator which was
acquired by UPC in 1999. As director of the Sale and Marketing team, Chris was
end-responsible for all commercial activities including the launch of Broadband Internet
and Digital Television.
Business Line Manager, Internet for UPC NL, responsible for Marketing and
Sales of residential Internet in the Netherlands, and growing the Broadband internet subscriber base.
Director, Marketing and Sales Western Europe, for chello broadband, responsible
for the residential chello broadband Internet products in the Netherlands, France, and
Belgium working with the local UPC marketing teams. Chris was responsible for
successfully hitting the EBITDA and customer growth targets in these markets every year.
Director, Customer Lifecycle Management for UPC Broadband. Responsible for development
of CLM programs throughout the UPC markets in Europe in order to reduce churn, increase
Customer Loyalty and increase Customer Value.
Before joining UPC, Chris worked in the Advertising industry for almost 2 years,
starting his career at KPN.
